  • White fish fillets 2 kg
  • Onions (peeled and sliced) 6 large 
  • Salt to taste
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Ground black pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric 2 teaspoons
  • Vinegar 1 cup 
  • Water 1 cup 
  • Sugar 3-4 tablespoons
  • Apricot jam 2 tablespoon 
  • Black pepper corns 1 tablespoon 
  • Coriander seeds 1 tablespoon 
  • Bay leaves 5 
  • Roasted masala 2 tablespoon 
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour mix 3 tablespoons of water
  • Vegetable oil

Step By Step Instructions To Make Pickled Fish

Step 1

Prepare the fish by coating the pieces with flour and seasoning them with a suitable amount of salt and pepper. In a spacious frying pan, heat the oil and proceed to shallow fry the fish for approximately 2 minutes on each side. Afterwards, set the fish aside on absorbent paper to drain.

Step 2

In a large pot, heat a mixture of vinegar and water over medium heat. Introduce the onions, sugar, salt, spices, jam, and bay leaves to the pot, and cook the ingredients for a duration of 8-10 minutes.
